Hardshell Warranty + Repairs

StubbleCare

Hardshell was designed to be repaired, not replaced. Trip after trip, StubbleCare protects the parts that take the knocks of real travel - wheels, handles, locks, and lining.

Coverage that’s built to last and backed for life.

How StubbleCare Works

From day one, every Hardshell comes with access to free repair kits for the parts that take the most wear - wheels, trolley handle, pull handles, internal lining, TSA locks, and feet. If a genuine manufacturing defect stops your Hardshell from working and we can’t repair it, we’ll replace it instead.

Both are included for the first five years. After that, repair kits stay available to you as long as you own your Hardshell - a service fee applies depending on your claim, confirmed before any work begins. Free replacement is limited to your first five-year window.

StubbleCare does not cover cosmetic wear or accidental/rough-travel damage, genuine material or construction faults only.

FAQs

  • My case was damaged by an airline, is that covered?

Damage from baggage handling, drops, crushing, rough transit - is not a manufacturing fault, so it will not be covered under StubbleCare.

If your case was damaged during a flight, report it to the airline directly, ideally before you leave the airport, as they have their own baggage damage process.

  • What counts as a genuine manufacturing defect?

Things like a wheel that seizes or falls off without impact, a trolley handle that won’t extend or lock, a zip or TSA lock that fails under normal use, or lining/stitching that comes apart within the first year.

A cracked shell from being dropped, scuffs from normal travel, or fading from sun exposure are wear and tear, not manufacturing faults, so they’re not covered.

  • Oh no! I’m locked out of my TSA lock.

Being locked out isn’t a fault with the lock itself, so it isn’t covered under StubbleCare.

Reach out to our care team and we can point you to the best next step.

  • Does a replacement case receive its own new warranty?

No. A genuine replacement continues on your original purchase date, it doesn’t restart the clock.

This works differently from our backpack warranty.

  • I purchased my Hardshell secondhand or through a retailer, am I covered?

StubbleCare covers Hardshell luggage purchased directly from Stubble & Co. Items received via resale platforms are not covered.

If you purchased through a retailer like John Lewis or Selfridges, please contact them directly.

  • How much does a repair kit cost after year 5?

Depending on your claim, a service fee applies, confirmed with you before any work begins.
